NEW MOON IN VIRGO, Sept 17, 2020: Serve or Suffer

It's early morning here at Camp Bamboo. The fog and the smoke make a hazy scene from my chair inside the vardo, once I step out the door the smoke is real in its affects especially if I'm without a mask. I put my mask on to keep breathing. No matter where you are this morning the chances are high you're in a situation like mine; to see the fog and smoke is one thing, to be the fog and smoke is something else.

We moved off the campground where bunnies, rabbits and hare were the first people of the place, but there are humans there governed by a set of standards and regulations in order to meet compliances.

On our way into town to shop for groceries on Sunday I spotted two campers who remain in place. They either don't have another place to move to, or, decided they would stay because that is where they are 'at home.' Maybe, these campers and the camp host (who has been the person  communicating) have an understanding about how to serve without inflicting more suffering. Maybe the potential for changing the rules for the license of a public campground is being explored (Jupiter), a way to do the right thing (Saturn) in a deeply meaningful (Pluto) way?

The life we have created beginning with the building of our Vardo for Two  is one that has sustained because we have taken full advantages of the sextiles (the aspects of opportunity in astrology), the angles which would need to be recognized as 'different' from the existing standards. Since the 2008 months of research, testing and building we have experienced what it takes to create community -- find the internal values and foibles of our character, and our facility or blocks in relationships with others. We have moved many times during these near-dozen years.

Alternative and creative forms of living are not new to life experience. For creatures other than humans the reality of adaptation is inherent and constant. Plant being, and creation other than human respond and react to the dominance of human wants whether humans really need it or not. Indigenous human communities across Haumea, Earth Mother, have adapted cultural values and practices eons old to cope with a changing world.

 

2020 is proving to be a time of great comeuppance for human kind. When did a corporation become a 'person' ? Did the corporation become the fog or the smoke with our consent or did we simply see it happening and took no action to test the corporation's capacity to truly serve when real people suffer? There is no guarantee your bigger and better more, lifestyle, career, degree, or attitude will remain on top. Did I/you/we take too much for granted? Or, did we just take too much?

Covid-19 came and is here with a large list for us; it may be different for each of us, with a few important ones for us in common. "The Great Pause, or The Great Paws" the unseen virus has turned us into masked beings -- perhaps our personal version of Zorro?-- who must learn to serve or suffer. The New Moon in Virgo on September 17, 2020 will come and go. The moon is like that, she is movement; here today and gone tomorrow. But, her affects influence ALL of us at the moment. A safety pin is small and insignificant until you need one. In that moment the bond of common magic is precisely the opportunity you might need.  Or, the Dark Moon in Virgo may be just the incentive you need to feel the influence of "Zorro", Don Diego de la Vega; Los Angeles (home to Zorro) and all the western coastline of the U.S. continent could use a hero or heroine like that! The world could use Zorro.
