Happiness Infusion
Spring is feeling its way into my bones, and my soul is grateful for the light. So many kinds of weather in one day and night: big winds, heavy rain, and oh so gray and soggy clouds releasing surprising thick and mussy almost snow.
'Oli (chanting) is becoming a regular presence in our life, again. Re-introduced thanks to love spreading big across the honua (Mother Earth) beginning in Paris (mahalo e Maile) with leaks and links between Hawaii Island via that FB Alive-ness. Mahalo nui e tita Kekuhi. If you're curious about 'O L I check Halau 'Ohi'a Facebook and view the 'Recent Videos' to watch and listen and learn. My thyroid, my heart and my voice are getting a refresh. My soul is getting a happiness infusion.
And then we get things a boomberanging effect like this: 'last minute bagels" ... our family is baking up a swell of very ono things. There's the first step below:... dough lumps. But can you guess which came next and which was last?
Then, this morning a very upbeat and hopeful video posted on Terri Windling's Myth & Moor. I was so happy to see her Tunes for a Monday Morning post. The dear woman has been dealing with long-haul covid for several weeks. (I can relate to the lingering affects of the virus's updating my immune system to the ongoing new realities of our changing world). To find she has enough 'spoons' to gather words and tunes was a relief and a lovely message: our friend is feeling better. We are grateful! Today, I am feeling better. We are grateful.
This is a group, new to me, as is so often the case with Windling's musical Mondays. I so delighted in seeing the surprising creatures appearing. You can learn more about the group by going to Myth & Moor, here.
Posting now, as Ka La, the Sun begins his setting. So grateful to be lit with light on the outside, and the inside.
Big love,
Mokihana
